Field Trip day
Liam's class had a field trip to the Olmsted Falls Police station today. Jill went as Monday and Tuesday Liam was quite adamant about her going. Jill's mom came over to watch the twins so she could go. Jill said Liam was very clingy to her on the field trip and back at school. At different times he would ask Jill to hold him and repeat several times he was done. When I got home I asked him about his field trip he said it was too loud. He didn't really elaborate about it too much when I asked him a few times.
This afternoon Jill took Aidan and Brendan to get some desperately needed new shoes. Jill said A & B were both in good spirits and quite entertaining at the mall and when getting shoes. Jill's dad said while she was away Liam took a long nap, so nothing to report.
I got home from work and the twins each got a giant (3') inflatable Colgate toothpaste balloon. I walked in and Liam was extremely upset that he did not have one and was getting quite upset because he wanted his own. Jill decided to take Seamus and Liam to the mall to return some clothes to appease him. Liam was ready to go right away, even before we could eat dinner. Throughout the time we were cooking dinner and trying to eat Liam kept repeating he wanted to go and at times would start crying about it. When Liam's food was ready, he quietly sat down, ate, and was quite cheerful. Once dinner was done Jill took them to the mall. She said while at the mall Liam was very good. The only thing was Liam got quite excited when he saw the clothes in the store and immediately wanted to touch them all. Jill had to keep control over him while trying to shop. It could have been worse, did not have any meltdowns like the last time he was at the mall on Easter.
When Liam got home he got ready for bed, watched a little tv, and went to bed without any problems. Overall, it was a good day for Liam. We shall see how it goes at school for Liam tomorrow. Let's hope for a good one.
