Skippin school!
Jill had a surprise Tuesday morning. Jill's dad returned around 8:30 with Liam. When Liam was to get out of the car and go to school, a substitute teacher came to get him. Liam would not leave the car. Jill's dad and the sub did their best to coax Liam out of the car he would crawl on the floor of the car to get away from them. He then crawled up above the rear seat and would not get down. Liam kept repeating he wanted to go home and he wanted mommy. After much struggle Jill's dad got him back in his car seat and brought him home since it was clear he was not going to school.
When Liam got home he was completely fine. He just went about his way and played. Liam did repeat numerous times about how he did not go to school. Liam still had his moments of anxiety and gum picking, but it was not as bad as in previous weeks.
In the evening I had to go to a business meeting as some sales reps from IBM treated a group of SW employees to the loge at the Indians game. Tough job I know. The loge was behind the left hand batters box and had an awesome view. The only problem was, the game got rained out. So we had a meeting, ate some food, and had some cocktails. I decided to call home and see how things were. Not good. This time it was Aidan who was the center of attention. Apparently while Jill was out of the kitchen, Aidan decided he wanted some cherry Kool Aid. Jill had just made a fresh pitcher too. Aidan tried to put it on the counter and missed. It ended up spilling all over him, the floor, the dishwasher, and cupboards. To make matters worse, Jill had just scrubbed the floor that morning. It gets worse. Aidan got upset about the mess he made and naturally Jill was upset and yelled at him. She cleaned him up and he kept crying. While she was cleaning up, he was on the chair in the living room still crying and he threw up. I felt horrible I wasn't there. What a night. Liam's only problem was he kept wanting to know where daddy was. This question repeated itself over and over. Liam managed to go to bed without any problems.
