A rough day at swimming
Liam’s day seemed to start out pretty good. He was having a typical morning with the usual little ups and downs. Went it came time for Liam to go to his Adaptive Aquatics class, he didn’t want to go. Jill and her mom had to coerce him into the car. On the way there he kept saying he wanted to go home. When they got to Lifeworks, Liam started to have a fit because he did not want to go in the pool. Jill and her mom had to carry Liam into the changing room and forcibly get him ready. His teacher Miss Karen helped them get him to the pool. The whole time he was in the pool he kept crying and wanting to go home. Miss Karen had her hands full today. They kept repeating to Liam what he had to do before he could go home. It was by far the worst day Liam had at the pool. When the class ended, they took Liam in the changing room where his personality switched from whining and crying to being happy. Jill could not figure out exactly what was wrong. The only change that occurred was she took Liam in her mother’s car. That hardly seems like it could be a reason, but it was something different, and Liam does not handle change well. Hopefully next week will be a better time for him.
